Observations and Anecdotal Information
Our bay laurel essential oil is steam distilled from wild harvested plants in Turkey. It is one of the strongest choices for stimulating lymphatic circulation from the essential oil world.
I once helped a teen aged girl who was only two days away from getting on an airplane to travel to the Hawaiian islands for vacation. She was devastated when she awakened that morning with painful swelling in her lymph glands under the jaw line.
On top of the physical pain she was experiencing with this powerful infection, there was great turmoil in her family over the fact that they may have to call off their planned sunny vacation because of her condition!
Her mother asked me if there was anything natural that could be done for her, so I gave them a bottle of a blend of bay laurel, everlasting, cypress, and lemongrass essential oils, diluted in jojoba.
She applied it to her neck, then wrapped it up in a hot towel and sat still for twenty minutes. She did this twice in 24 hours.
Just before they left to get on the plane, the young girl’s mother called me to thank me. She said it had seemed like a miracle! The swelling and pain were gone in 24 hours and her daughter felt well enough to get on an airplane and travel.
Ever since that day, I have used bay laurel essential oil in every blend I make for lymph stagnation or glandular infection, with astounding results. It is one of the best lymphatic decongestants ever.
Bay laurel also lowers blood pressure, thins blood, and relieves angina.
It can be used internally (with extreme dilution!) to help clear blocked arteries, and can also be used as a suppository for rapid absorption. Bay laurel has many other uses as described in our downloadable book, Essential Oils for Healing and Ascension.
