A strongly sedative oil, clary sage essential oil is mildly euphoric for some people.   It relieves depression, paranoia, and anxiety.

It can be helpful for relieving certain types of migraines, especially those caused by nervous tension.

It helps relieve asthma when inhaled.  It can also be applied to the temples to relieve some types of migraine headaches.

This clary sage plant has pain relieving properties.  It has been in use in European herbalism  since the 1500’s.  It was most often used to treat menstrual cramps, hormonal disorders, mood swings,”hysteria”,  and digestive issues.  It was considered a women’s herb.

Clary sage makes a wonderful massage oil,  enhancing the emotional clearing aspects of body work, and helping to create trust between practitioner and the person receiving treatment.
