Observations and Anecdotal Information
This rare oil is only produced in Corsica and in France. It has been used extensively as a powerful mucolytic, which dissolves and expels mucus from the respiratory system.
It is the oil of choice for treating laryngitis, bronchitis, coughs, sinusitis, tuberculosis, and asthma. It supports healing and cleansing of the mucus membranes in any respiratory ailment. It is most effective when taken through inhalation, and can be diffused for 5 to 10 minutes at a time to help with these conditions.
It is also an anthelmintic and cholagogue, helping to expel parasites from the liver and gall bladder.
It is effective when used to clear vaginal trichomonas and urinary tract infections and parasites. It can be used as a bolus or suppository, or poured onto a tampon and inserted over night.
Inula is a challenging oil to harvest and distill, and therefore the real product commands a high price. Once you have experienced this oil, it’s high price becomes understandable, as it is truly superior for respiratory issues and the treatment of asthma. This is truly the king of all respiratory essential oils!
