Observations and Anecdotal Information
Mace essential oil has been used traditionally as a digestive aid. Like its brother-nutmeg essential oil-it is known to calm and ease digestion, reduce flatulence and gas, reduce digestive system inflammation, and relieve dental pain. It has been used to treat ulcers and inflammatory bowel syndrome.
This oil is a strong heart tonic. When applied in proper dilution to the chest, it can regulate the heartbeat and strengthen the heart and circulatory system.
It is a fine oil for enhancing pain reduction during massage. It eases arthritis pain and unwinds tight muscles. It is a great additive to muscle relaxing blends. It opens and expands tight muscles, relieving stagnation to create space and flow.
