Root beer essential oil melange carries the healing properties of sweet birch and peppermint essential oils, its main constituents.  This delicious blend can bring a beautiful aromatic attraction to blends that may be therapeutically correct, but lacking in general appeal.

Adding a natural, high quality melange to essential oil blends can be compared to adding a little honey to your herbal tonics–to make the medicine taste good.  They will not alter or remove the healing properties of  real essential oils, but will bring a complimentary aroma into the blend.  They are perfect for blends designed for young children, sensitive individuals, or people who have strong reactions to aromas.

Root beer was originally created as a healing drink.  It is known to relieve inflammation, balance blood sugar for diabetes, and stimulate the immune system.  Original root beer recipes vary widely as to which ingredients they contain.  The basic herbal foundation is sassafras, ginger, and sarsaparilla.  Recipes also contain diverse herbal ingredients including cherry bark, molasses, burdock root, cinnamon bark, astragalus, licorice root, and more.
