Observations and Anecdotal Information

As a pain reliever, templin essential oil is a great choice for muscle pains, arthritis, chronic pain relief, leg cramps, and knee joint pain.

For a really deep pain treatment, add 8 to 12 drops of templin oil to a hot bath and soak for 15 minutes.

After the bath, dry off, then mix 6 drops of oil in a tablespoon of carrier oil.  Massage the blend into legs, spine, etc.  For points of intense pain, massage a couple drops of pure templin in to the points.  The oil will absorb quickly and be most effective after the pores have been opened in the bath.

I have used templin orally for treating urinary infections.  It is slightly less irritating than the juniper essential oil that many aromatherapists recommend, and may be a better choice for sensitive individuals.

For this purpose, it could be diluted by placing 3 drops into 1 ounce of water.  Stevia can be added if the sweeter flavor makes it easier to swallow.  One can take 10 drops of the blend, two to four times daily until the infection subsides–usually within 4 or 5 days.
