More About Our Ylang Ylang Complete Essential Oil

Size:  5 ml violet glass bottle OR  30 ml violet glass bottle

Botanical name:  Cananga odorantissima

Source:  Madagascar

Distillation:  Steam distilled from fresh flowers

Note:  Complete grade is a complete distillation with nothing removed throughout the many hours of process.  Extra grade is the first oil batch, taken off within a couple of hours of beginning the distillation.  Extra grade is more intensely floral, and complete grade has a more diverse bouquet.  Both are beautiful, and carry the strong aromatic properties of the ylang ylang flower. Other grades are produced later in the distillation process, and considered less desirable from both aromatic and therapeutic viewpoints.

Observations and Anecdotal Information

Most consider ylang yang essential oil to be an emotional relaxer and mood enhancer, as it helps to relieve anger, depression, fear, anxiety, and to clear the emotional body in general.

It is also a potent urinary system tonic that can strengthen the bladder and kidneys, and restore adrenal balance.

It is a superb endocrine regulator.   I include it in my custom blends for balancing hormonal issues, especially PMS and menopausal symptoms.  Its beautiful floral aroma can uplift even the most medicinal blends, bringing an air of refinement and beauty.  It is very lovely when diffused at night before sleeping, bringing sweet dreams and a deep regenerating sleep.
