Mitti Attar
$74.74
Mitti attar captures the sacred fragrance of the Earth. It is perhaps the most ancient of aromas, and has been produced for over 4,000 years. It was created to capture the aroma of the first rains of the monsoon season, falling upon the dry, parched Earth.
It is a great aroma for supporting people who have just left a long term relationship, those who have suffered trauma or abuse, and those who have too much focus in the mental world. It will bring balance and call our attention back to focus in the present moment, here on Earth.
It’s essence is that of gratitude.

Observations and Anecdotal Information
Before the monsoons arrive, the Earth has been baked in the sun until all of the micro-organisms that bring life to the soil, are dead or dormant. The return of the monsoons marks one of the most sacred events in the lives of the people in India. Before the first rain, one can feel the longing of the people, animals, plants, and soil for the life-giving water.
When the first rain comes in, it quickly activates the soil micro-organisms, and soon it is teaming with life (10,000,000 per teaspoonful of soil). This may be the cause for the rich aroma that arises to mark this sacred event.
The air is filled with this aroma, and it is easy to understand that Earth is thanking the clouds and rain for showering down, and returning life to the land.
Because of its origins, this attar is especially wonderful for grounding. It can be used all alone as a wonderful natural perfume, or can be blended with other oils to help create an Earthy grounding energy.
