Blue Cypress Essential Oil
$62.25
Blue cypress essential oil ages gracefully, like vintage frankincense or sandalwood. It is very useful as a base note and fixative in blends, especially suitable for men’s blends.
It is emotionally calming and grounding. Inhalation can bring the awareness out of emotion and back into the body.
It stabilizes an over active mind, and helps balance mental activity.
Energetically, blue cypress encourages peaceful acceptance of the present. It has an affinity for the solar plexus, third eye, and crown energy centers.

Observations and Anecdotal Information
Like sandalwood, this oil ages beautifully and mellows in aroma as it gets older. I have a bottle of this in my private collection that is about 10 years old, and it smells like heaven!
The tree and its extracts have been used medicinally by the Tiwi people of Australia for thousands of years. They use the wood to make spears, musical instruments, and other artifacts. They burn the wood and inhale the smoke for its respiratory properties, and use the essential oil applied to the skin for healing wounds and skin conditions.
