Observations and Anecdotal Information
Lawang essential oil has been used in traditional indigenous medicine as a remedy for arthritis and rheumatism. It is mild enough to be used undiluted on the skin surface for most people.
It is a great massage oil for sports injuries, and helps to move lactic acid build-up out of tired muscles. It can be applied directly to contusions, strains and bruises with excellent results.
It is also useful for applying directly to insect bites or stings, and will relieve both pain and itching.
Lawang is a deep penetrating oil good, for massage and other oil treatments. It is useful for headaches, joint pain, muscle pain, and nerve pain, and is a general pain reliever for all uses.

Generally recognized as safe at normal dosage.
Avoid use with infants and small children.
Keep all essential oils away from eyes.
