Known mostly as a plant based insecticide and repellant, citronella essential oil has many healing properties that have been all but lost.

It is a cicatrizant, capable of helping the body form scar tissue and heal wounds.  It is a powerful anti-bacterial agent, and an effective deodorizer.

Taken internally at proper dilution rates (only if you are certain of the purity and quality of your source!), citronella essential oil can help stomach  upset, digestive complaints, and obesity.

It is a digestive tonic.  It can be used to clear stomach infections, which can also  help ulcers and pre-ulcer conditions.

It is a vermifuge, and can be used as an effective addition to parasite cleanses.

Citronella essential oil has a tonifying effect on the brain and nervous system.

Cautions

• Commonly adulterated, it is important to be sure of the quality of your source.  Lower quality citronella essential oils are often diluted with synthetic chemicals, and cause allergic or irritating effects on skin.
