Ylang Ylang Essential Oil, Extra Grade

$30.00$154.40

Ylang ylang essential oil’s beautiful floral aroma can uplift even the most medicinal blends, bringing an air of refinement and beauty.  It is very lovely when diffused at night before sleeping, bringing sweet dreams and a deep regenerating sleep.

When inhaled, it relieves anger, rage, depression, insomnia, tension, stress, fear, anxiety, low self-esteem, shock, and panic.  It relaxes the nervous system and brings consciousness to the present moment.

It is an aphrodisiac for many people.

It has an affinity for the root, navel, solar plexus, and heart energy centers.

It especially activates the senses of smell and taste, clearing emotional debris, and helping to access a child-like mental space, free of judgement (“beginner’s mind”).

More About Our Ylang Ylang Essential Oil

Size:  5 ml violet glass bottle OR 30 ml violet glass bottle

Source:  Indonesia or Madagascar (Current batch is from Madagascar)

Botanical name:  Cananga odorantissima

Distillation:  Extra grade, steam distilled from fresh flowers of the tree

Note:  Extra grade is the first oil batch, taken off within a few hours of beginning the distillation.  Complete grade is a complete distillation with nothing removed throughout the many hours of process.  Extra grade has an aroma that is more intensely floral, and Complete grade has a more diverse aromatic bouquet.  Both are beautiful, and carry the strong properties of the ylang ylang flower. Other grades are produced later in the distillation process, and considered less desirable from both aromatic and therapeutic viewpoints.

External*––topical application, massage, bath, local or spinal compress, application to energy centers and meridian points

Observations and Anecdotal Information

Most consider ylang yang essential oil to be an emotional relaxer and mood enhancer.

It is commonly used for restoring hair regrowth due to hormone imbalances or stress reactions.  It can be added in small amounts to shampoos or hair conditioners for this purpose.

I would like to attend to a lesser known characteristic;  it is also a potent urinary system tonic that can strengthen the bladder and kidneys, and restore adrenal balance.

Ylang ylang is a superb endocrine regulator.   I include it in my custom blends for balancing hormonal issues, especially PMS and menopausal symptoms.
